"Mighty Mutts is an all-volunteer no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating the stray and abandoned dogs of New York City. Alone, starving, and in desperate need of veterinary care, these poor creatures struggle day by day for their very lives. Most are not spayed or neutered and will go on to bring many other puppies into their harsh world. Mighty Mutts is driven to help change all of this. We are not a shelter, rather Mighty Mutts is a rescue organization where all of our dogs are kept by foster families throughout the week in order to prepare them to live in “real homes,” full of love and care. Every Saturday, rain or shine, Mighty Mutts holds a weekly adoption drive at Union Square from 12 - 5pm. We set up both inside Petco, as well as at the Southwest corner of the park. We encourage people to come visit our many adoptable dogs on Saturdays, and to learn more about the work we do. And for the cat lovers, please don’t forget about our other branch, Ollie’s Place, helping the in-need cats of New York. You can visit our furry feline friends at 430 East 9th Street, NYC. While we are always looking for forever homes for our animals, we are also often looking for quality foster homes for those of our animals who have not yet been placed in foster care. If you are not in a position to adopt or foster, we are always looking for volunteers to help further our cause, both at our Saturday adoption drives, and in many other areas. You can also support us by sponsoring one of our animals for only $20 per month! For more information about Mighty Mutts please visit our website at MightyMutts.org, or email us at email@example.com."
